Amit has been a sales professional for the past 8 years.
He started off as an enthusiastic professional, in love with his job. But slowly, the pressure started getting to him.

He was feeling stagnant. Not able to close orders. His confidence was in a pit. His relationship with the team was creating stress, emotional and physical drain.

He was facing constant roadblocks in terms of completing work and there was a visible rippling effect in his personal life too.

Things kept getting worse and he knew it was time to change. He couldn’t go on like this. He couldn’t let his career and personal life suffer like this anymore.

He shared his concerns with a friend, who recommended Zingformation to him.

Amit attended our NLP practitioner workshop.

As NLP coaches with more than a decade of experience, we have helped many folks like Amit transform their lives.

But Amit was different.

He was dealing with too many problems and wanted instant gratifications. We decided to take one step at a time.

The good thing about Amit was, he’d won half the battle by accepting and realizing that there were problems. And that he needed to change.

The other half, NLP could solve.

One of the techniques which we follow religiously when we conduct NLP class or manage counselling sessions is – rapport building.

It works wonders for both of us. The participants discover their core issues. And it helps us understand them better.

Next, we use mirroring (matching their voice and using their experience and also talking their language) which works really well and in no time we both feel like we have known each other for many years. Having a rapport allows us to address more tough and tricky questions which help us progress smoothly.

One of the models which worked very well with Amit was: The Meta.

To help Amit, we used The Metamodel on his generalisations and distortions extensively. To build his confidence, we asked a lot of questions about situations which were very challenging for him. This helped him realise the situation he had created.

For Example: When his colleagues questioned his strategy or decision or asked embarrassing questions, they meant either that they want to know if he has thought through the projected challenges and has plan B ready, or the colleague is unaware how to conduct himself or simply that that colleague has had a bad day. Eventually, it was possible for Amit to see how to manage and control the situation.

To calm his nerves, we used the Swish Pattern.

What we did was ask him to visualize himself attending the management meeting and he was proud to present his report and plan and get commendable feedback. We used this image to remove his current image of him handling tough questions badly.

To reinforce the new image, we told him to recollect hearing his colleagues and management telling him how excellent his strategy and report was.

This helped Amit’s negative thoughts. He was no longer telling himself how nervous he was.

Now, he uses both the new image and the positive feedback from the management to help calm himself down at work.

These days his confidence has grown in managing tricky situations and colleagues at work. He is a lot calmer and receives laudable feedback. All of this helped him to strengthen a new self.
